XMAS Day Bar 1

The epic XMAS day at bar 1 draws ever closer.

Following a lovely display from a number of club members (Sellens and Baxter) of christmas jumpers last year can I encourage you all to go to your local charity store and make that important purchase, prizes for best jumper in the evening!!!

For those who have not attended this fabled event here are a few tips.

1) If you want an indemand xmas day bar1 t-shirt only the first 100 people get them and you'll need to queue from about 7 in the morning.

2) If you want to ensure you get in at all you need to be in before 12 at least. After that the queues get ridiculous and its one in one out.

3) Don't miss it its amazing (I believe last years record was The Jew puking on a similarly jewish looking fellow - Gilmour)

Our much vaunted social secs who should really be organising this debacle are away for the whole event so I would like to ask for some keen volunteers to camp out the night before to get hold of those precious juice/roar tickets. Its always the more the merrier and I imagine stulwarts of the club like Angry Billy would love to lead this pack of wolves?

As general club layabout who generally has a large amount of time on his hands it seems to have been designated to me to organise this years christmas day camping trip. For those of you who do not know what this means, this involves camping out over night to make sure that we are the first in line to get tickets for christmas day. With this in mind i am creating a list of "volunteers" to assist in the purchasing of said tickets. Those standing in line will be rewarded for their hard work, and hopefully ludicrous stupid acts over the night time, most likely with beer or other assorted alcoholic beverages.

So far the list of "volunteers" stands as:

Captain: Baby Billy
First Team Rob
Alpha Matt Clarkeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Joe Gaynor

Anybody else wanting to get involved please write on the forum. Closer to the time i will organise an official camping trip and give you all the details. Be warned if i do not get volunteers i will nominate people. Those failing to turn up may face a snuff based challenge from my backside , which i am sure none of you wish to be involved in! On the plus side this is generally a hilarious night of fun.

On a serious note if we don't get in line we don't get tickets so it is important for all of us wanting to go to man up and get involved.

Guys it is probably worth getting there a little earlier than 7 in the morning. I think we were there by about 5.30 last yr. and we were about halfway down the side of bar 1! It sounds ridiculous to get there so early but the banter in the queue was priceless last yr:

• doctor milk challenge

• Hot dog challenge

• pick and mix challenge

• chrismas jumper envy

• etc etc

On the note of chirismas jumpers, I will post up some picks from last yr when I get home to give you guys some idea of what to aspire to!!! haha

yer the earlier the better i think the waiting outside was possibly the best bit last year, not quite as good as the jew throwing up on gilmour at about 10am tho, plus seeing people coming back from a night out as your heading down is amazing.
not such a fan ofme being captain of camping out for tickets but itwill probably be done. xx

in my defence it wasn't proper sick, and gilmore probably deserved it! Im booking 2 days off work for this bad boy can't wait! Im going to out do sellens on the jumper front this year!

Actually bear jew, it looks much more like he's seen somebody missing his foreskin making a feeble attempt at drinking a pint before throwing up on a fellow club member. I thought you would recognise that look by now?

Tickets are sorted so no need for camp out any longer but thanks for the offers, details of how to get hold of them will follow nearer the time.

Can anyone who makes the front of the queue this year please make sure we dominate the seating area at the end of the bar 1 bar on the left, perfect place for massive group and easy access to booze.

I'd also like to add Zaks name to the mix for Phaal as I don't believe even the dreaded balti king spicy killer could wipe the smile off his face, thought? I'm thinking sweep stake as to whether he has to break into pained grimous
